3-16-17 Gastineau Peak and Troy

Morning lap up Gastineau Peak with a mixed bag of rime, wind affected pow, and trail skiing.  Then a lap up to the Dan Moller cabin with a mini lap of skiing up above it.  3.5-4ft of new now skiing well, for now, with seemingly good stability.

2-1-17 Gastineau Peak

2 mile drive to trailhead, then less than two hours to the summit of Gastineau Peak.  Nice quick tour.  Saw eleven wolves and a mountain goat on the way down.  Crappy cell pics.

These tracks were not there on the way up.  I saw 11 wolves on the ridge, running away from me when they heard me skiing down.

12/15/16 Mt Jumbo

Thrashed my way up Mt Jumbo this morning.  Took the summer trail because I didn't know any better, and that sucked.  Found the winter exit on the way out.  Now it's dialed in.  Need more snow before the main couloir fills in.

GPS track (Yellow) for winter ascent.  Follows snowmobile route up gully, then up shoulder.  Some exposure to avy hazard.

12-13-16 Beta Pics-More

Haven't been skiing, because I've been flying for work.  So here are some aerial pics of the last 10 miles flying into Juneau.
